Room 10’s Newsletter – Term 2    2015

Wesley Primary School

Greetings everyone and welcome back to Term 2.   This term we will be working in these areas.

Literacy & Numeracy

Topic Study:  Weeks 1-11. Our focus will be on Heroes

Physical Education & Health:  Learning the skills for playing Invasion Games.

 Te Reo Maori:  We will be learning Te Reo Kori games.

.Visual Arts: We will work on Painting this term. 

Homework

There will be 2 types of Homework your child will bring home:

1.     Your child will bring his/her book bag home every day from Monday to Friday every week.  Inside the book bag he/she will have one of the followings to do:

-                     A book to read to/with you.

      Please make time to listen to, talk with and praise your child for bringing his/her work home.

     Before the book bag is returned to school the next day please sign on the folder so I can change           the book for the next day.

      Please make sure your child is bringing his/her book bag to school every morning. Every Friday         the book bag will be coming home with the poetry book.

      Your child will be able to share with you the poems we have been working on at school. 

    

2.    Once a week the IOL folder will be brought home. Inside the folder there will be stories that he/she worked on in their IOL groups.  There will also be a page with a picture for you and your child to work on.  Please help your child to write his / her story.  This folder has to come back to school the next day.
